【摘要】:Theperformanceunderbendingandcompressionloadofathermoplasticplasticpipewalldesignobtainedbythismethodcanbeusedforthefollowing:Todeterminethestiffnessofthepipewallsection.Thisisafunctionofthepipedimensions,thewalldesign,thearclengthtested,andthephysicalpropertiesofthematerialofwhichthepipeismade.Tocomparethecharacteristicsofvariousthermoplasticpipewalldesigns.Tocomparethecharacteristicsofvariousplasticsinpipeform.Tostudytheinterrelationsofdimensions,materials,anddeformationpropertiesofthermoplasticpipedesigns.Tomeasurethedeformationandload-resistanceatanyofseveralsignificanteventswhichmayoccurduringthetest.Toprovideareasonablequalitycontrol/qualityassurancetestforverylargediameterplasticpipes.Thetime-dependentpipewallstiffnessofathermoplasticpipeobtainedbythistestmethodmayusedforthefollowing:Topredicttheresidualstiffnessofthepipewallinbendingandcompressionatalltimesafterinitialloading.Forpurposesofdesign,todetermineamodulusofrelaxationundersustainedloads.Toquantifytheinfluenceofmaterialformulationsofthermoplasticsonthemodulusofrelaxation.Tostudytheinfluenceofgeometricpatternsofwallprofilesonthemodulusofrelaxation.Thetime-independentreductionofwallthicknessatspringlinemaybeusedforthefollowing:Forpipewallstiffness,toquantifytheefficiencyofallwallprofilesofanymaterialcompositionandagivengeometrywiththatofasoliduniformthicknesswall.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheload-deflectionbehaviorofthermoplasticpipewallsectionsunderparallelplateloadingconditions.Note18212;Thesearenotfullpipesectiontests,butpipewallsegmenttests.TheresultsofthesetestswillbedifferentfrompipestiffnesstestsperTestMethodD2412,althoughtheymaybeproportional.Thistestprovidesquitedifferentinformation,including,stressrelaxationunderconstantstrain,andcomparisonsofthefunctionandstiffnessofdifferentpipewalldesignsormaterials.1.2Thistestmethodcoversaloadingtestfordeterminingthewallstiffnessofathermoplastic-pipewallunderacombinedloadofbendingandcompression.Changesinpipewallprofilegeometryunderloadmayalsobedetermined.1.3Thistestmethodcoversthermoplasticpipe.1.4Thecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodarewallstiffnessandchangesinprofilewalldimensionsatspecificdeformations.1.5Thecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodarewallstiffness,profilewallefficiency,andforsomewallelementsstabilityatspecificStrainlevels.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
