【摘要】:Becauseofthewidevarietyofpotentialusesofrigidcellularplastics,artificialexposuretoestimatetheeffectivebehaviorofthesematerialsmustbebased,toagreatextent,ontheintendedapplication.Towardthisend,thistestmethodisintendedtorecommendavarietyofconditionsfromwhichoneormoreofthedesiredexposureconditionscanbeselected.(Note3)Theconditionsrecommendedinthistestmethodhavebeenwidelyusedinartificiallyexposingrigidcellularplasticsandindeterminingtheeffectsofvarioustemperaturesandhumiditiesonthesematerials.Finaltestmeasurementsaredeterminedafterthespecimensreturntoroomtemperature.Wherespecified,thespecimenswillbetestedattheexposurecondition,butmustbereportedassuch.Dimensionalchangesmeasuredbythistestmethodcanbeusedtocomparetheperformanceofmaterialsinaparticularenvironment,toassesstherelativestabilityoftwoormorecellularplastics,ortospecifyanacceptancecriterionforaparticularmaterial.Theresultsofthistestmethodarenotsuitableforpredictingend-useproductperformanceorcharacteristics,noraretheyadequateforengineeringordesigncalculations.Note38212;Wherethermalshockisknownorsuspectedtooccurduetorapidheatingto(orcoolingfrom)aparticulartemperature,guidanceonthepermissibleheatingorcoolingrates,orboth,shallbeobtainedfromthemanufacturerofthematerialconcerned.Note48212;Thedimensionalchangeofaspecimencanvarydependingupontheageofthesampleorthelengthoftimebetweenspecimenpreparationandthebeginningofthetest,orboth.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshallbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameterscoveredinthematerialsspecification,orcombinationthereof,shalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenospecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforthethermalandhumidexposureofrigidcellularplastics.Conditionsusedshallbeagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Note1Alistofcommonlyusedexposureconditionscanbefoundin.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinbracketsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2ThistestmethodresemblesISO2796intitleonly.Thecontentissignificantlydifferent.ThistestmethodisequivalenttoISO2796inthesamplingandcalculationsections.ItisnotequivalenttoISO2796intheproceduresection.
